More than 400 representatives from government departments, industry organizations, research institutions, and the industrial sector gathered to discuss cooperation, plan development, and envision the future, jointly promoting green development and digital-intelligence innovation in the packaging industry, accelerating the cultivation of new productivity, and advancing the high-quality development of the packaging industry to facilitate the construction of Chinese-style modernization.

Han Xueshan stated that China has entered a new stage of empowering high-quality development with new-quality productivity and striving to advance Chinese-style modernization. The packaging industry is a vital component of the modern industrial system. In 2023, there were 10,632 packaging enterprises above the designated size in China, an increase of 772 enterprises over the previous year, with a total operating revenue of RMB 1,153.906 billion and a total profit of RMB 60.197 billion, making it an essential support for achieving high-quality economic and social development. Commissioned by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), CPF organized the compilation and publication of the "China Packaging Industry Development Plan (2021-2025)," with a focus on "innovative green development, accelerating the upgrade of intelligent manufacturing in enterprises, and enhancing their digital capabilities." CPF invited representatives from government departments, industry organizations, research institutions, and the industrial sector to convene under the theme of "Green and Low-Carbon, Smart Manufacturing," showcasing the achievements of the packaging industry in advancing digitalization and intelligence, strengthening research support, leveraging the exemplary role of leading enterprises, guiding industrial innovation and creation, and empowering high-quality industrial development with green and digital technologies.

Tu Hong expressed that Suining City has consistently adhered to the development concept of low-carbon circularity, fostered the advantages of green industries, and created a business-friendly cultural environment. Currently, Suining is focused on fulfilling the historical mission assigned by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee to build a modernization demonstration city in the central region of Chengdu and Chongqing and become the Lithium Battery Capital, adhering to a green industrial development path that prioritizes environmental sustainability and technological innovation, accelerating the construction of a renowned city for green intelligent manufacturing.

Zhang Xiaole remarked that the Green and Smart Packaging Industry Development Conference has proven to be a platform for sharing cutting-edge technologies, achieving mutually beneficial cooperation for innovative achievements, and serving the development of the packaging industry at a high level, playing an active role in advancing the sustainable development of the packaging industry. In the future, Sichuan China Tobacco's diversified enterprises will continue to support CPF in successfully hosting the Green and Smart Packaging Industry Development Conference, leveraging the industry's advantages of "big brands, big markets, and big enterprises" to promote the collaborative construction of innovation chains, industrial chains, and supply chains on a broader scale, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development and modernization of the packaging industry.

The theme of this conference was "Green and Low-Carbon, Smart Manufacturing."

The morning session was hosted by Wang Li and Han Xueshan, with three guests delivering keynote speeches on new-quality productivity, the digital transformation of the tobacco packaging industry, and empowering high-quality development of the packaging industry through green and digital technologies.
